Solar Canopy in Bridgewater

Here's a short clip of a fairly new solar installation in Bridgewater at the minor league baseball stadium. Looks great, provides lots of free renewable energy, shade for cars on sunny days, and the potential for charging stations ( for at least municipal electric vehicles which are surely coming). Now, is there a company willing to partner with Woodstock on such a venture? That should be what the RFP asks for, one would think- a company who will build the project in exchange for the land and a percentage (half?) of the net metering electric revenue for X number of years. And of course, a buyout for the town after X number of years. Solar panels are especially effective these days, and no trees would be cut down for this project. Win, Win, Win.

XKeyscore

"A top secret National Security Agency program allows analysts to search with no prior authorization through vast databases containing emails, online chats and the browsing histories of millions of individuals, according to documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.
The NSA boasts in training materials that the program, called XKeyscore, is its "widest-reaching" system for developing intelligence from the internet."

Here's the whole article:

The Guardian/XKeyscore Article

This is on top of the phone record sweeps and the photo taken of every piece of mail, domestic and foreign. Plus the plate scanners on the police cars...I think they have us totally covered.

Zoe on Her Wheels

Zoe had just gotten her wheels from England while we were first in Germany-she took to them like an old pro. She died July 23, 2013 from a progressive nerve disorder in dogs called myelopathy or DM. There is no cure, and we were told by the vets Zoe had outlasted most dogs who have the disease-nearly three years. RIP Zoe.
